Cardano is part of the third generation blockchains. It is a decentralized blockchain and cryptocurrency project which is aiming to deliver more advanced features than any previous block chain protocol. Cardano is implementing its own smart contract platform developed by a large global collective of expert engineers and researchers. It is the first block chain built on a scientific philosophy and research first driven approach.

Cardano incorporated OUROBORUS in to there platform, which is a ground breaking proof of stake algorithm. OUROBORUS is driven by peered review academic research, which adds to the integrity of the work and shows that the project leads are perfectionist.

The cardonao cryptocurrency is the first to be based on haskell code, an industrial grade product that delivers the resilience needed for critical systems. Its multi layered protocol allows for advanced functions. It has its foundation at a settlement layer which is conveniently linked to a control layer. The settlement layer will hold the unit of account and the control layer will hold the smart contract data. Cardano is also completely opened source, patent-free, and open for global collaboration.

Cardano was built to tackle the issues of efficiency and scalability and it is seeking to do just that. There is no other blockchain project that has been built with Cardanos parameters. This is definitely not a project that was copied or thrown together by amateurs.
